Go Wild will be Sunday, May 17, 2015 at the Hutchinson Tract (north of Tappahannock on Route 17). Don't miss this fun for the whole family event! New this year will be tram rides featuring different aspects of the refuge: bird habitat, history, and plantlife. Story teller Alice Elk Moon will be back, and kids can learn about birdwatching, target shooting and archery. We hope to have some new nature exhibits this year and more plants in the silent auction.

The Robert "Bobby" Hutchinson memorial viewing platform was dedicated September 28. Members of the family, the refuge staff, and the Friends came to remember Bobby and praise his decision to keep the land for wildlife.

The Butterfly Garden at Hutchinson is in bloom! Some flowers you might see: false indigo, Golden Alexander, butterfly weed, penstemon, spiderwort.

Hutchinson is just north of Tappahannock on Route 17. The garden is on the right of the drive, just past the white barn.
